Felt christmas flower tutorial

Ho Ho HO...I finally got a beautiful felt flower tutorial
  1. Prepare card paper, pen, felt, fabric scissors, pen, 5 coins(same size), needle & yarn.
  2. Place 5 coins in circle on paper then trace around and cut out template paper.
  3. Place template on felt, trace 4 petals and cut them out
  4. Fold it in half and place it perpendicular together, overlapping like in the picture
  5. Sew them together by stitching x then square around the center.....finish!

Next is the fun part, you can adapt it to head pin or ring or whatever... just use imagination. I made a red felt flower from small coins and green from bigger. Sew them together, place on headband and sew round piece of red felt on the back.

Here it is...

DIY orange ice cream

I try to post at least once a month and it turn out that I can do just once in a while. Think I should more manage. In my super busy life, this is what I love the most and make me calm. I like to do a lot of things in the same time so lot of little project was left in process... my sawing machine is dusty, I start crosstitching a new one (wish I can finish it within a year. It’s very huge one) and many many more..

This DIY felt orange ice cream set is easy and nice. I spent two day making and another week admire it and two minute take a photo…..and store in my hard disk for a week!!!

That how lazy I am.

Easier way to cutting felt

I think the hardest part of making felt work is cutting. After googling for easier way to cutting felt, I found out that many have the same question too. Some use taped pattern with felt, some use sand paper as a pattern. I'm a lil bit lazy so my trick is using little cloth pegs to pin pattern and felt together then cut it with a sharp scissor (for fabric). With cloth pegs, you can use the same pattern longer than taped it. When you finish cutting, It's just half way to go!

This is my DIY felt chocolate cake. Look delicious? ^_^

However, I realized that to do a crafty things is never easy. That's why it's called "HANDMADE"
